Is it Biblical?
(Act 2:42)  And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

(Acts 2:46) And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

(Acts 2:47) Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Fellowship Dinner

Covenant Word Church has weekly fellowship meetings at the church on Friday nights. It is a time we can see each other on a more personal level, chat about whatever comes to mind, learn about our brothers and sisters, encourage one another and become more like family. It's also as described in the Word of God which talks about the church growing daily.

Praying that the meal and the conversation be uplifting.

What is Fellowship?
Some say it's two fellows in a ship.  It's catchy, but Biblical fellowship is so much more than that!

One dictionary defines it as:

a. The condition of sharing similar interests, ideals, or experiences, as by reason of profession, religion, or nationality.
b. The companionship of individuals in a congenial atmosphere and on equal terms.

That's a good beginning but it goes much deeper than that.  It's sharing the lives of each other in love and encouragement.  It's being there for each other and being genuinely interested in your brother's or sister's life.  It's being family the way God designed it and not with the bickering and strife we often have in our blood-related families.
